This tour “7 days desert tour from Marrakech” starts in Marrakesh, pearl of the south and goes through the Atlas Mountains all the way to Ouarzazate. We visit some kasbah’s and the desert with his oases and beautiful valleys.

Itinerary description day by day :

Day 1: Marrakech

By arrival at the airport of Marrakesh you will find our driver who will take you to your Riad (traditional Moroccan house) or your hotel. There is the possibility to visit the Jemaa-El-Fna Square, depending on the arrival time of course. You will take dinner and stay the night in the hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Marrakech guided tour

After breakfast in the riad, you will enjoy a morning guided tour of Marrakech “the Red City of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see all the sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Koutoubia Minaret; the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Koranic School. Finally, end the morning by walking through the medina alleys -getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. Lunch at a restaurant near the square, and then in the afternoon visit the gardens at Majorelle and have a short tour at Gueliz -the new city of Marrakech. After the visit, you will have the option to walk through the square entertained by magicians, story-tellers, tooth-pullers and food sellers.

Day 3: Marrakesh – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Pick up on your hotel/riad in Marrakech and we drive to Ouarzazate , through the Atlas Mountains, a varied landscape and little Berber villages. We stop at the Tizi’n Tichka-pas (possibility to take pictures), at the height of 2260 m. We travel on to Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, the most beautiful Kasbah of Morocco, a Unesco World Heritage site.The place is known as a picture & movies spot, several international films have been shot in this place including the Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabie, the Mummy, Kundun & Alexander…(there are about 43 films in total which has used the place), enjoy the architecture of the building aged about 4 centuries, the place has been used as a trade center for the caravans coming from Toubouktou & heading to Marrakech the whole north of Morocco in  Kasbah ait ben Haddou you will have enough time walk and to discover the Kasbah, including the valley. Dinner and Overnight in  accommodation in Ouarzazat.

Day 4: Dades gorge – Todra valley – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga (313 km)

After we spend the night in Kasba Ait ben Haddou , we drive to  Ouarzazate to visit the the famous ATLAS Film Studios, created in 1983 . We continue for the Dades , Rose Valley en de palm trees (route of the 1000 kasbah’s).  we travel along to Merzouga (Sahara Desert) across the Todra Valley. We take time for lunch and for a walk in the Todra Gorge, the most beautiful gorge of Morocco. When finished we continue for Merzouga (Sahara Desert) through beautiful desert landscapes. We pass Rissani, known for Kasbahs and oases. In the afternoon we arrive to Merzouaga; Here  will start your guided camel ride, led by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand sea of Merzouga. Overnight at our luxury desert camp where you will have your dinner. For your convenience, the camp is equipped with flush toilets.

Day 5: Merzouga – Alnif – N’kob – Zagora (313 km)

After breakfast we leave Merzouga and travel direction Zagora through Alnif, Tazarine, beautiful desert landscapes, oases and little Berber villages. We spent the night in a hotel with view over the beautiful valley.

Day 6: Zagora – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh (360 km)

We leave Zagora and continue direction Ouarzazate across the Draa Valley en Agdz. In Ouarzazate we visit the film studio. We continue for Marrakesh through the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m) over the high Atlas Mountains. We stop to take lunch. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant in Jemaa-El-Fna; you will stay the night in a Riad.

Day 7: Marrakesh

Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
